Upon the announcement by Senator Hillary Clinton that she today is officially suspending her Presidential campaign, Democratic Governor Mike Beebe, Democratic members of the Arkansas Congressional Delegation, Lieutenant Governor Bill Halter, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, Secretary of State Charlie Daniels, State Treasurer Martha Shoffner, Land Commissioner Mark Wilcox and State Auditor Jim Wood pledged their support for Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee for the Presidency of the Untied States.
They release the following statement:
"Senator Clinton is a part of our Arkansas family and we were proud and honored to support her throughout her campaign for President of the United States. With today's news that Senator Clinton suspended her candidacy, we now pledge our support to the presumptive Democratic nominee for the Presidency, Senator Barack Obama."

I wholeheartedly endorse Senator Barack Obama for President of the
United States and encourage others to do the same. Senator Obama brings
the changes in direction that our country needs, new energy, and new
voices to this election.
The Democratic nomination contest has energized Americans in every state
and brought record numbers of new participants to the polls. Now is
