One less thing for the flooded-out and tornado-hit to worry about: Filing their state taxes. Anyone who lives or owns a business in the 52 counties declared disaster areas recently will get an automatic extension until Aug. 15 to file their state tax returns. (Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline and White counties are included.) Claiming it sounds easy enough: Just write “Disaster Storms” on the front of the envelope and the upper left corner of the tax return and you’re good, according to a press release from the Department of Finance and Administration. The full release, including all 52 affected counties, is on the jump.
