Corporal punishment should be outlawed.
Yet another exhibit in the overwhelming case. A Jacksonville special ed teacher, Stephen Rose, battered his Beebe girlfriend's kindergarten-age son for failing to finish his meals quickly enough. He claimed to be a "behavior modification expert." He was convicted. He has been fired. Don't think that his kind is an isolated case. Check this from the Searcy Daily Citizen coverage:
“The Bible says, ‘Spare the rod and spoil the child,’” Rose said. “The school district I grew up in used corporal punishment. I was doing everything that was moral and right to get him to change his behavior.”
A 200-pounder beating up a six-year-old. In the name of God.
