The Dallas Morning News,
on the eve of the Texas primary, reiterates its endorsement of Mike Huckabee, though the newspaper acknowledges he won't win the nomination. McCain is too old and has a "choleric temperament," the editorial says. They like Huckabee's "sunny side up conservatism." He's a candidate for the GOP's future, etc. If that wasn't despressing enough, you have to wonder about the state of American newspapers when they find in Huckabee, the scourge of tree-hugging environmental wackos everywhere, an environmentally friendly candidate.
