The public v. phone companies



In the U.S. Senate, it wasn't even close. Only 31 votes could be mustered for a measure to strip retroactive immunity from telecommunications companies that helped Bush's warrantless wiretapping program.

Sens. Lincoln and Pryor voted for the phone companies and against the rule of law. Obama was on the right side of this issue. Clinton did not vote.
