Word-lovers take note: Lorenzen and Co. Booksellers will begin to liquidate its holdings starting Tuesday, and will be closed probably by the end of March, owner Rod Lorenzen says. The store, which specializes in used books and is known for its comprehensive selection of books on Arkansas, has been open in the Tanglewood Shopping Center at the corner of Mississippi and Cantrell since 1991. Lorenzen started in the book business with his Paperback Writer at Kavanaugh and Grant, which he sold in 1988 and which became WordsWorth Books at its location around the corner.

The store will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
