The Times mentioned last week that the Coalition Against the Death Penalty would be approaching Gov. Mike Beebe about imposing a moratorium on executions to form a study commission on every aspect of the death penalty, an action some other states have taken in the face of continuing court challenges, the past and future possibilities of execution of innocents, etc. John Brummett today reports on a first step in that lobbying effort.
