A replica of the Christopher Columbus' ship the Nina just docked outside the Salty Parrot in NLR. Two decades in the making and built completely by hand, the ship is "the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built," according to Archaeology magazine.
As you can see, she ain't too big. But according to this handy site
, the Nina wasn't the hulking 18-sailed crusier we historically ignorant might imagine. It was a caravel, a trading vessel used for everything from warring to carrying cargo. It was apparently Columbus' favorite ship.
You can climb aboard from 9 a.m till 6 p.m. through the 25th. More pics after the jump.
