NY Times:

Five wives of presidential candidates will convene with Maria Shriver Tuesday in Long Beach , California to discuss their lives as mothers, spouses, targets, professionals and, perhaps, competitors.

Don’t call it a debate. It’s a discussion, one that is highly likely to generate more chatter, deconstructing and close examination than, say, the finer points of tort reform and other highlights of the myriad presidential debates this fall.

Ms. Shriver, a member of the Kennedy family and former journalist who reluctantly gave up her career when her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, became governor of California, will moderate the discussion with Elizabeth Edwards, Michelle Obama, Jeri Thompson, Cindy McCain and Ann Romney during her fourth First Lady’s Conference on Women at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Bill Clinton declined to attend, as did Judith Giuliani, who has shied away from the spotlight in recent months after a less-than-optimal start out of the gate.

Article doesn't mention Janet Huckabee. She could have provided the political candidate's perspective, too.
