Ah, how time flies. Has it really been 14 years since Corliss “Big Nasty” Williamson led the Arkansas Razorbacks to an NCAA basketball championship? Since then – after going to the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the 1995 NBA draft — Williamson has had a successful pro career, playing for Toronto, Detroit and Philadelphia, and was part of the Pistons’ 2003-2004 national NBA championship team.
Today, at a 1:30 p.m. press conference at the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in North Little Rock, Corliss will hang it up. Further word from the Associated Press is that after retirement he’ll be relocating to Little Rock, where he has accepted a position as assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College.
