Nobody will be exclaiming about how cute they are, but the Little Rock Zoo announces the birth of three vampire bats. Best time to see them: feeding time each day, 10:30 a.m., when the bat colony (the zoo has four breeding pairs) dine on dishes of cattle blood. The mothers regurgitate it for the little tykes, which rest under mothers' wings.
(The stock photo, by Sherrill Jackson for the Organization for Bat Conservation, is not of an LR Zoo bat. They are being fed naturally.)
