A newsletter from the Downtown Neighborhood Association says Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is dropping its request to close the 1600 block of Spring Street for Cathedral School use. Instead, the cathedral's dean, the Very Rev. Henry Hudson, said the school would work on a plan to barricade the block during school hours, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Many neighbors had opposed the closure. Hudson also told neighbors the church could support returning two-way traffic to the street.
