The latest Moses Tucker downtown project -- River Market Place -- has already been announced. But now it's official. Ground was broken today on the 20-story River Market Tower project. News release on the jump.

Less than two weeks after celebrating the grand opening of the tallest residential tower in the state of Arkansas, Moses Tucker Real Estate is setting its sights even higher, breaking ground today on the largest mixed use development in Little Rock's history.

Located at 3rd and Rock Streets in downtown Little Rock, River Market Tower will add 20 stories to the city's skyline and serve as the centerpiece of a new urban neighborhood called River Market Place. The 380,000 square foot tower will feature 138 units with private balconies and amenities such as skyline and river views, a rooftop terrace, secure reserved parking, a fitness center, a courtyard with swimming pool and basketball and tennis courts.

River Market Tower will offer something for everyone.  Whether potential residents are looking for a contemporary loft or a custom home, this building will provide an eclectic mix of properties and bring new residents downtown,? said Moses Tucker Principal Rett Tucker.

The lower floors of River Market Tower will be called The Lofts at River Market Place with prices starting at $215,000. These units will feature exposed concrete floors and industrial-style finishes with prices aimed to attract younger business professionals. The upper portion of the tower, named The Residences at River Market Place will feature larger, traditional style homes beginning at $266,000.  The top two floors include penthouse units where owners can custom design their space.

"With ten percent of the condos already sold in River Market Tower, there is no question there is an increasing demand for high-rise living downtown.  This project is another step in fulfilling our vision to create a 24 hour downtown, and it will offer residents an opportunity to live near the River Market while still enjoying the intimacy of a neighborhood," said Moses Tucker Principal Jimmy Moses

Located in the heart of the River Market District, the $80 million, 450,000 square foot mixed use development will offer both retail and dining options.  The first floor of Tuf Nut Lofts will be completelyrenovated into retail space and a 119-room, eight story Hampton Inn and Suites is being developed by McKibbon Hotels of Georgia.

The hotel will be located at the corner of 4th and Commerce Streets and offer amenities such as meeting rooms, complimentary high speed internet, a fitness center and a large dining area used to servecomplimentary hot breakfasts to hotel guests each morning.  The masonry and glass building will also feature a large outdoor patio and swimming pool. McKibbon already owns and operates the highly successful Courtyard by Marriot in downtown Little Rock.  The Hampton Inn and Suites is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008.

Moses Tucker Real Estate, the established leader of downtown Little Rock's phenomenal $1 billion renaissance, specializes in the downtown residential and commercial real estate market.River  Market  Tower  will  be  the  firm?s  fourth  major  mixed use development downtown in the past five years.  Other projects include the Capital Commerce Center (2002), First Security Center (2004) and the 300 Third Tower?(2007).
