Interesting story in the Baxter Bulletin full of complaints from bingo operators about new excise tax and reporting rules arising from the new charity bingo law. You'll be interested to learn that the new law is going to mean that places that have been operating illegally, with a wink from local prosecutors (namely Jonesboro), are going to play less bingo now rather than more.
SIDEBAR: So we have a prosecutor in Jonesboro who won't bust gamblers and who won't investigate the West Memphis cop who shot a kid. What won't he do if he's elected to be a judge (the main reason he's dodging the West Memphis killing). Will he convict a bingo operator brought before him for breaking the law, or again say he has better things to do?
