If this was in the morning paper I didn't see it. (Wait. now I see a couple of grafs in the Iraq violence roundup.) Republican Richard Lugar has jumped ship on Bush's war policy. Welcome to the reality-based community, Sen. Lugar:
"Our course in Iraq has lost contact with our vital national security interests in the Middle East and beyond. Our continuing absorption with military activities in Iraq is limiting our diplomatic assertiveness there and elsewhere in the world," he said.
Hey, and what about this? The plot to oust Dick Cheney. Don't get your hopes up. It's floated by the odious Sally Quinn, who seems to be yet another of the Beltway babes with a crush on Fred Thompson.
