A Hamburg man was released from custody on Thursday afternoon, June 14, after posting a $50,000 commercial bond. Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigator Scott Woodard said.
The investigator said that Dickie Morton, 55, of 717 Pine Manor, Hamburg, is charged in a warrant from Ashley County Circuit Court with eleven counts of theft and ten counts of computer fraud. He said that after receiving numerous complaints of people purchasing items and not having those things delivered, he was asked to investigate the possibility of criminal offenses. Woodward said that he has been working on the investigation since September, 2006, but it was not until Thursday that an arrest was made.
Last time we saw the name was in the Clinton pardon controversies.
