The Legislative Joint Auditing Committee heard today about a 2005 audit of Ouachita County (relative detail on Page 6 of this PDF) that showed the county judge’s former administrative assistant had run up more than $150,000 in improper charges on a Wal-Mart credit card for jewelry, electronics, tobacco, etc. The matter has been referred for prosecution.
