Mike Huckabee is furiously spinning following Tuesday's debate. Why do people keep asking him about his faith, he complains to reporters. If he hadn't rushed to shoot his hand up to show that he didn't believe in evolution, he wouldn't face this problem. It's about science, not faith. The Stephens Media article linked here notes that Huckabee's effort to bow toward the science community by saying he's uncertain about the specifics of creation now puts him cross-ways with his denomination's adherence to the literal Biblical account of creation. Six days means six days, Southern Baptist authorities say.
The article notes that Huckabee had to cancel a planned press lunch today for lack of sufficient interest.
