Still no word on a nominee to succeed the late George Howard on the federal bench in Little Rock. But the W. Harold Flowers Law Society, a group of African-American lawyers, judges and law students, has some ideas for a successor to the only African-American on the federal district bench in Arkansas. They've sent along to Rep. John Boozman, who'll be making recommendations to President Bush, the names of retired Court of Appeals Judge Olly Neal, Circuit Judge Kathleen Bell, Little Rock lawyer Leon Johnson and Collette D. Honorable, director of the state Workforce Investment Board.
