I've actually been surprised by the absence of concrete developments since the Little Rock School Board vote last week to buy out Superintendent Roy Brooks' contract.
Some FOI requests are bubbling in the system. They might, or might not, offer more insight into the case that had been assembled against Brooks for the firing hearing, now moot.
Brooks' attorney mentioned legal action as a possibility immediately after the meeting. None has been filed so far. It looks like a looong shot from here, but that doesn't mean it won't be attempted.
This much is concrete. Little Rock Mothers for Progress, a group formed to support Brooks' retention, has scheduled a meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, says this website. Attendees are invited to drop us a note after.
