The Hope Star reports that U.S. Rep. Mike Ross and his wife Holly have sold the family pharmacy in Prescott to USA Drug.

PRESCOTT - Congressman Mike Ross, D-Ar., and his wife, Holly, have sold the family's interest in Holly's Health Mart here to USA Drug of Little Rock.

Mrs. Ross said Tuesday that the local pharmacy business will likely become part of the Super D Drug Store brand, which is under the USA Drug corporate umbrella.

“We don't know, yet,” she said.

Mrs. Ross said the sale is scheduled to close at the end of the month, but no major changes in staffing, hours, or services are anticipated.

“I'll be here more than before,” she said. “Hopefully, we will have a relief pharmacist in case Michael needs me to go to Washington.”

Ross, who is in his fourth term in the U. S. House of Representatives from the Fourth Congressional District, is a native of Hope and currently resides with his family in Prescott. He and his wife purchased the pharmacy from Jim and Ann Pounds in 1993 and have operated the business under the name Holly's Health Mart since.
