A Little Rock Airport Commission committee (consisting of the same members who will make the official decision next week) have recommended two law firms to take over the legal work once handled by Mayor Mark Stodola's law firm.
Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon, Galchus will get the general work. (This being Little Rock, of course there's some closeness. Airport Commissioner Tom Schueck's son-in-law, Mark McCarty, is a member of the firm. Schueck has not participated in this portion of the seleciton process.)
Some lawyers are grumbling that the request for proposals suggested only one law firm would be chosen for all work. But the committee decided to pick a law firm for financial work and Williams and Anderson got the nod. The committee apparently had some differences of opinion in discussions yesterday about splitting the work.
The recommendations will be ratified by the commission next week.
