New poll shows Huckabee beating Brownback 2-1. That's 2 percent to 1 percent. Others higher. Except Gilmore.
In Time magazine, Huckabee takes 10 questions from readers. In one, he says "I wouldn't hesitate to bring in a manufactured home on the grounds of the White House because I thought it was quite comfortable living."
UPDATE II: Also today, Huckabee had a conference call with the South Dakota governor who's supporting him and mentioned a couple of fund-raisers to milk some money out of his Arkansas roots. One, at the home of Lisenne Rockefeller, the former lt. gov.'s wife, we'd mentioned earlier. But apparently he's lined up a Walton to round up some money for him. The Waltons have always been treated by Arkansas government, of course. Huckabee alcohol regulators gave Wal-Mart a hotly contested permit for an adjoining liquor store at a Sam's in Fayetteville, for example. Here's a Huckabee friendly blog with some details on today's call.
