A free-lance journalist of our acquaintance, Richard Fricker, told us a few days ago that he was running down the White House-issued biography of J. Timothy Griffin, the Karl Rove soldier who was rewarded for his political hit work with the firing of Bud Cummins and Griffin’s installment as U.S. attorney. The plan was to dodge Senate confirmation, but Sen. Mark Pryor upset the apple cart.
I think Fricker has more stories in the work, but here’s one today that highlights the political work that got Griffin where he is today. (Properly, mired in mud.)
