Beebe splits the difference. He still doesn't want foster kids going into homes of gay people, but he seems to say he's not ready to rule out adoption by gay people. What's the difference, really? And, as Sue Madison so aptly noted, if a gay home is bad for a child's welfare, how about legislate jerking away all kids naturally born to gay parents from their homes?
Well, maybe Beebe's carefully articulated straddle is enough to beat this bill, late in the session, on the margins before it has to come to him for a signature.
