A snarky gossip columnist at the Anchorage Daily News isn't so impressed by Mike Huckabee's enlistment of Alaska Rep. Don Young as one of his campaign leaders:
YOUNG AND HUCKABEE ... Don Young is chairing former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's presidential exploratory campaign. Huckabee -- Young's hunting bud, you know -- says having the Congressman for All Alaskans Except Ear and a Few Others serve as his "Capitol Hill chairman" will boost the credibility of his campaign.
Bloggers are having a field day with that one, darlings. One quipped that putting Young in that role is like having W.C. Fields as your campaign manager.
Here's how Ear sees it: Young helps get Arkansas money to build roads. Arkansas people give Young ridiculous amounts of campaign contributions. Considering these cozy circumstances, what other congressman could possibly oversee Huckabee's campaign?
