Brummett, taking off from the Toyota decision, thinks maybe Arkansas's priorities are out of whack, that they are more about place than people.
And, by the way, I am thinking about stepping into a hornet's nest on this Toyota deal. I'm simply not buying that clean air was the key determinant. If it was, Arkansas would have been eliminated long ago. It never made sense, in fact, that a company that markets its greenness would locate a new pollution source in an already-polluted area.
I think work force was important, too, and that's all I'm going to say about it for the time being.
Roby Brock, by the way, isn't buying the clean air excuse and offers an interesting analysis of the Toyota decision here.
