Gov. Mike Beebe announced today the first of what will be many routine appointment announcements. Today's are on the jump. They include a couple of appointees to the Economic Development Commission -- John Burkhalter and Mike Roberts, both of Little Rock

Governor Mike Beebe today announced the following appointments to Arkansas boards and commissions:

 

Henry Boyce, Newport, to the Arkansas Sentencing Commission.  Appointment expires May 15, 2007.

 

John Burkhalter, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.  Appointment expires January 14, 2011.

 

Dr. Bob Cogburn, Mountain Home, to the Arkansas State Medical Board.  Appointment expires December 31, 2012.

 

Stephen Edwards, Marianna, reappointed to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.  Appointment expires January 14, 2011.

 

Rebecca Finney, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission.  Appointment expires January 31, 2011.

 

Jim Frazier, Helena, reappointed to the Arkansas Waterways Commission.  Appointment expires January 14, 2014.

 

Dennis Haigwood, Newport, reappointed to the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board.  Appointment expires June 30, 2008.

 

Sheriff Paul Lucas, Camden, to the Arkansas Commission of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.  Appointment expires January 14, 2014.

 

Bruce Moore, Little Rock, reappointed to the Henderson State University Board of Trustees.  Appointment expires January 14, 2014.

 

Dr. Patty Pettway, Booneville, to the Arkansas State Medical Board.  Appointment expires December 31, 2012.

 

Mike Roberts, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.  Appointment expires January 14, 2011.

 

Russ Sword, Crossett, reappointed to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2011.

 

Dr. John Weiss, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas State Medical Board.  Appointment expires December 31, 2012.

 

Parker Westbrook, Nashville, to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation.  Appointment expires June 30, 2010.

 

Dr. Patricia Westfall, Searcy, to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2011.

 

Dr. Terry Yamauchi, Little Rock, to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2011.
