Here's the bottom line of the January state revenue report -- more leveling of receipts, though the year to date numbers are up on strength of robust early months:
January Net Available General Revenues total $442.9 million, $5.3 million or 1.2 percent above last year and $4.4 million or 1.0 percent below forecast.
January Gross General Revenues: January collections total $522.2 million, an increase of $11.7 million or 2.3 percent above last year and $2.0 million or 0.4 percent above forecast.
Year-to-date Net Available General Revenues: Year-to-date net available general revenues total $2,625.0 million. This amount is $146.2 million or 5.9 percent above last year and $6.7 million or 0.3 percent below the general revenue forecast of November 9,
Year-to-date Gross General Revenues: Year-to-date gross collections total $3,005.3 million, representing an increase of $144.2 million or 5.0 percent above last year. Gross general revenues are $0.3 million or less than 0.1 percent below the general revenue forecast of November 9, 2006.
