VICTIM – SIMMONS FIRST NATIONAL BANK, 8500 GEYER SPRINGS
VICTIM – RANDY BROWN, 700 W. MARKHAM

ARREST LOCATION – 5308 WYCLIFFE & 75 WESTMINSTER
On 12-26-2006 officers responded to a bank robbery in progress call at the Simmons First National Bank located at 8500 Geyer Springs. Upon arrival, Officer Brown observed a white Ford Explorer leaving the area and recognized this vehicle as one that had been car jacked from 5105 W. 65th moments earlier. Officer Brown pursued the vehicle which was occupied by four black males. During the pursuit, one of the subjects fired shots at Officer Brown’s vehicle. Once the vehicle turned onto Westminster, all four occupants bailed out and fled on foot. One of the suspects fired more shots at Officer Brown. Officer Brown returned fire and struck shooter in the leg. The suspects were able to elude Officer Brown. Detectives circulating the area of Wycliffe observed a glass carport door broken at 5308 Wycliffe. Detectives and officers surrounded the house and Eric Chambliss and (Juvenile) eventually exited the residence. The (Juvenile) was arrested and transported by MEMS to UAMS. Chambliss was transported to the Downtown Detective Division. Officers located another suspect, Andre Pride, on Westminster and he matched the description of one of the suspects who ran from the stolen vehicle Officer Brown had pursued. Pride was found to be in possession of narcotics and was transported to the Downtown Detective Division. Warrants were obtained to search the residence at 5308 Wycliffe and detectives located money from the bank robbery and two guns. Chambliss was served with an outstanding warrant and transported to the Pulaski County Regional Jail. Pride was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver and transported to the Pulaski County Regional Jail. Their involvement in the bank robbery is under investigation. All other individuals were released with out charges at this time. The investigation continues into the robbery of the bank. Detectives will be working to place those charges today. The Juvenile suspect has been released from the hospital. He will escorted to the Detective Division for charges this morning. More information will follow.
