Roby Brock at Talk Business mines an interesting bit of info out of the employment numbers for November (our emphasis supplied):
The manufacturing sector had the largest over-the-month decline, losing 2,200 jobs. The total number of manufacturing jobs in the state fell to 192,600. In the last twelve months, over 6,700 jobs have been lost in manufacturing. Government employment saw a worker gain of 900 in November bringing total employment in that sector to 212,600. There are now 20,000 more government workers in Arkansas than manufacturing employees.
