The morning e-mail

It brings:

1) A link to Paul Krugman, scoffing at Bush's line that he doesn't intend to follow the Iraq study group's report because it amounts to "outsourcing the presidency." Why not? He's outsourced everything else, Krugman notes, from Coast Guard ships to police training in Afghanistan to rebuilding Iraq (all with awful results). In the case of the presidency, another contractor could hardly do worse.

2) A reminder that you can still make a reservation to hear ABC's George Stephanopoulous speak at 12:30 p.m. today at the Statehouse Convention Center, a program of the Clinton School of Public Service. He's returning to a city where he famously spent a year in 1992 working to elect Bill Clinton. To reserve write publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.edu

3) AT&T will announce a major (UPDATE: $75,000) contribution this morning to a campaign to restore the house of civil rights leaders L.C. and Daisy Bates as a musuem.

4) News that the Sunday issue of the Democrat-Gazette NW Edition carried the following marriage license on page 5D:

Michael Rue Masterson, 59, and Laurie Lee Taylor, 40, both of Fayetteville. He's the Democrat-Gazette columnist. She was a leader in the protest over some books with sexual content stocked in Fayetteville public school libraries.
