By jimmy, I think Brummett's done it -- conceived a thoroughly sensible plan for spending the state surplus. There's one tiny wrinkle. By the time he's paid for court-mandated school costs, prisons needs, a reduction in the sales tax, bond interest, etc., there's only about $2 million -- or $15,000 per legislator -- for pork. But in the interest of the greater good for all, I'm sure they'd set rodeo arenas and Bigelow street lights aside, don't you?
