Brummett today eschews the I'm-thankful-for-format to do a little commentating on the transition of the coming Mike Beebe administration. He finds reason for disappointment -- from Beebe's hopping on the state plane with the outgoing first lady for a West Virginia conference to, more importantly, a transition team packed with lobbyists, with an emphasis here on insurance and electric co-op lobbyist Ark Monroe. These folks happen to be good people, in his and my estimation. But the bottom line, the narrative if you will for years to come:
Bill Clinton's problem was girls. Mike Huckabee's was trappings. Beebe's will be blind spots regarding the appearances of his associations with business lobbyists.
