The Morning News has an interesting business feature on NW Ark.'s growing play for luxury retailers. Theres money in them hills, needless to say.
It's not just about the arrival of high-end retailers and luxury car sales. The article reports also that Sam's Club has qualified 22 people to purchase a $2.8 million Cessna the discount chain is selling this shopping season, plus high-dollar travel packages to the Super Bowl and a $44,000 ride to London to see Tony Bennett sing. Presumably, Sam's is still moving a lot of paper towels out the door, too.
But all is not rosy at the moment. A UA expert predicts a "correction" in the housing market that will be painful in banks. They've overbult and overlended, in other words, and somebody has to pay.
