Rumors about former Senate colleague Morril Harriman joining Mike Beebe's gubernatorial administration might have some basis in fact. We haven't been able to reach him or a Beebe spokesman yet, but we called the Poultry Federation, which Harriman has led, and were told that the lobbyist no longer worked at the Federation as of midnight election night.
He's a skillful lawyer with a world of governmental experience and is widely liked. He'd have Beebe's back as chief of staff or whatever role he was picked to fill. He would, of course, bring at least an undeniable appearance of aroma from his most recent job assignment.
