Anybody else see the opener of NBC's "Friday Night Lights"? Maybe I'm just a sap for football stories. But it's promising, even if it lacks Billy Bob. High production values, some good casting in the high school roles. (Granted, the finish was improbable.)
Also: At 9 tonight, Fox 16 should relay some more findings in the latest round of Opinion Research Associates polling for Stephens Media. Not sure I'll wait up for lt. gov. numbers.
Also: The governor is on the radio tomorrow morning. Perhaps the would-be president would share if he thinks House Speaker Hastert and the Republican member of the page committee discharged their duties properly in the Foley scandal. Or is he closing ranks? The page committee's action, not to notify the Democratic member of concerns about Foley's e-mail, is key. Clearly Republicans thought it was enough of a problem to privately tell Foley to stop.
Meanwhile on the Huckster front: We are happy to report that sometimes Blog correspondent James Boulder -- ever loyal in defense of the guv -- has begun his own blog, "Mike Huckabee, a refreshing choice in 2008." Check it out.
