A press release issued yesterday by the New England Council and the New Hampshire Political Library announced that Gov. Mike Huckabee will speak at the “Politics and Eggs” forum this Friday in Bedford, New Hampshire.

As the 2008 New Hampshire Presidential Primary nears, and candidates declare officially that they are running for their party’s nomination, we will once again use our “Politics & Eggs” forums to host the candidates. … Since its debut in 1996, the series has hosted nearly every major candidate for President and has become a “must-stop” on the campaign trail. The program brings together speakers with about 200 of the region’s business leaders for discussion and questions.

This piece fits into the puzzle that is Huckabee’s trip to New Hampshire this weekend. As we reported in last week’s Insider column:

Later this month, Huckabee will make another jaunt through New Hampshire. We’re piecing together that schedule, but so far we can confirm that it includes Huckabee and his band performing at a Manchester fund-raiser on Aug. 10 and a cookout with the Manchester Young Republicans on Aug 13.
