WOODY ANDERSON NEWS RELEASE
FT.SMITH, AR- Woodrow “Woody” Anderson, Democratic candidate for Congress, challenged incumbent Congressman John Boozman to a debate to discuss Veterans issues today.
Anderson, a Captain of the Army Reserves, challenged Boozman on the heels of his town hall meeting on Veterans issues today in Fort Smith.
“Boozman claims he’s for Veterans, but the fact is he’s voted against our men and women in uniform time and again. In fact, he earned the worst voting record possible by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) advocacy group in Washington, D.C.,” Anderson said. “After 15 years serving in the Army Reserve, I have never backed down from a fight. I won’t do it now or in Congress.”
Anderson hopes Boozman will accept his challenge to debate between now and the November 7 election.
“We’re both conservatives, but there are substantial differences between Boozman and myself especially on issues facing America’s Veterans. A public debate on these issues will bear that out once and for all. That’s why I hope he accepts my challenge.” Anderson said.
