Here’s some good police work.

Arture Thompson of 7423 Marcia Lane was slain June 4. Detective Tommy Hudson believed that Thompson was shot with a weapon gone missing that Thompson had purchased in Little Rock. That weapon, traced by its serial number, turned up in possession of a man arrested in a recent sweep of a Houston housing project, Tilldon Jarard DeDe. Police say DeDe was a New Orleans evacuee who spent some time in Little Rock shortly after Katrina hit. Thompson was shot in a drug dispute, the first homicide here involving a hurricane evacuee, says the LRPD.
