Turnout

A political consultant we know says the Democratic primary turnout in NW Ark. is non-existent. Eyeball assessments are notoriously unreliable, however.

By 9:30 a.m., we can tell you that 110 people had voted at Pulaski Heights Presbyterian, my voting precinct, and the state's liberal bell cow. They may run out of ballots (Note, please to Susan Inman.) This has tiny significance because, if Dustin McDaniel has any hope of cutting into Paul Suskie's huge advantage in Pulaski County, it would be in liberal neighborhoods with pro-choice voters. Thus, the anti-Bush, pro-choice mailer McDaniel sent in my neighborhood (and, I'll bet, not a whole lot of others.)

By 10:30 a.m., a whopping 16 people had voted at the police substation on Kanis Road.
