One of the blogs set up to front anonymously for Asa! amuses us enough to mention here again. The other day, it made the shocking discovery that Beebe had a campaign contributor who gave the maximum personally and through several private businesses she controls. This is legal, because Arkansas law allows corporate contributions. (We don't happen to like it much.) It took us less than two minutes to demonstrate that Asa! is "guilty" of the same crime -- accepting multiple maximum contributions from the same source.
The last couple of days, the Asa! bloggers have been bashing Beebe because he gets money from lawyers. Oh, no, not that! For those with short memories: Before Asa! sold himself out to opportunists hoping to trade on his insider connections in penny stock schemes and revolving door lobbying of his old employers, he was, yes, a lawyer. And we'll bet you a share of one of Asa's penny stocks that he'll continue to accept contributions from lawyers.
