You think the workers' comp system isn't skewed against the worker?
Here's a case where an employee of a rehabilitation business was at work, during working hours and on the business premises when a client attacked him and injured him. First the state Workers Comp Commission and then the Court of Appeals denied him workers comp coverage for his broken pelvis. Yesterday, the Supreme Court injected overdue wisdom. It said just because the man was on a break when the injury occurred (workers are entitled to breaks during the work day, aren't they?) didnn't mean he shouldn't be covered. The vote was 5-2 to help the hurt man. Three years after the injury, justice.
