Morning News: Bentonville (and you know the political landscape there) is pondering new impact fees to cope with the crunch of infrastructure needs required by new development. Earlier this week, Republican congressional candidate and Cabot Mayor Stubby Stumbaugh spoke of impact fee wisdom.
And, in Little Rock? Will neighborhood activists who say now is the time -- missed in earlier years -- to impose some impact fees on future construction to slightly mitigate the cost of an expensive new sewer plant (to be built to accommodate future growth) that could otherwise cause a giant jump in sewer rates? No breath is being held here.
