Jonesboro, which already has signed off on funneling school taxes to developer Bruce Burrow’s mall (which helped put another mall out of business) will consider tonight a sales tax to pay up to 75 percent of the cost to attach a convention center to a John Q. Hammons hotel. He apparently won’t build the hotel without a city-financed room for meetings.
