Swedish emigre Theresa Andersson doesn’t easily fit into a genre. The vocalist, who’s called New Orleans home for nearly two decades, has alternately been described as folksy, a torch singer and an alt-rocker. She’s at Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $7. Texas-based singer/songwriter Kristy Kruger returns to White Water with the foot-stomping folk-rock band Cutthroat Shamrock, 9 p.m., $5. As usual seven-string whiz Ted Ludwig starts the evening with bassist Joe Cripps at the Capital Bar and Grill, 5 p.m., free, before joining up with drummer Brian Brown at the Afterthought, 8:30 p.m., $5. At Cajun’s, local cover act Six Strings Down blends rock, funk and blues, 9 p.m. It’s the last weekend to see the Rep’s acclaimed production of “Les Mis,” 7:30 p.m., $30-$60.

At St. James United Methodist Church, the Arkansas Chamber Singers team with Ballet Arkansas to present “All Music Must Dance,” selections by Menotti, Brahms and Copeland, 7:30 p.m., $10-15. From Shreveport, Dirtfoot is a self-described “gypsy punk country grum-ble boogie band.” The group plays Sticky Fingerz, 10 p.m., $5. Synfest kicks off at Downtown Music with metal acts like Bloodletting Device and Wishtribe, 8 p.m., $7 or $12 for the two-night event. Mentored by Bo Diddley, Texas bluesman Hamilton Loomis makes an appearance at Cajun’s, 9 p.m., $5. The dark comedy “The Pillowman” enters into its final weekend at the Weekend Theater, 7:30 p.m., $10-$14.

The Damn Bullets, everyone’s favorite old-time weirdos, celebrate the release of their sophomore album, “Electric Folk Boogie,” with a con-cert at White Water, 10 p.m., $5. Mandy McBride and newgrass outfit 2Me open. Country legend Ray Price plays the Hot Springs Conven-tion Center, 7 p.m., $35. Despite promises to perform shows more sparingly, the party band the Gettys remains in demand. They’re at Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m. Popular local rockers the Munks return to the Afterthought armed with new songs and new covers, 9 p.m., $7. Mississippi-based singer/songwriter Charlie Mars celebrates the release of his new album, “Like a Bird, Like a Plane,” with a concert at Juanita’s, 9:30 p.m., $8. Riverboat Crime opens.
