Anyone in Memphis tonight should check out the screening of the new documentary "Meanwhile in Memphis: The Sound of a Revolution" at the Studio on the Square theater, 7 p.m. Directed by Memphians Robert Allen Parker and Nan Hackman, the film focuses on the city's DIY music scene in the '70s, '80s, and '90s, and includes some great interviews and footage of Arkansas-born transplants like the late Jim Dickinson, Tav Falco and Ben Nichols. There will also be an afterparty at Minglewood Hall at 9 p.m. featuring a reunited Big Ass Truck, Sons of Mudboy and Alicja Trout. Trailer after the jump:
