The South Arkansas Arts Center in El Dorado will host a closing reception for “Tides and Currents: Contemporary Art Along the Gulf Coast” on Saturday, June 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibit is made up of work by 15 Gulf Coast artist, including curator Bill Myers, whose work you see above. The exhibition includes works in acrylic, assemblage, encaustic, graphite and ink on wood, handmade paper, pottery, sculpture, textile, and watercolor.

Other artists whose works are included are Annette Blocker, Susan Carranza, Kat Fitzpatrick, Kerr Grabowski, Mary Hardy, Carol Hutcherson, Adele Lawton, Ellen Ellis Lee, Trailer McQuilkin, Vicki Niolet, Mary Anderson, Joey Rice, Peggy Tilley and Jessie Florence Zenor.
