Pierce, an assistant professor, attempts with her paintings to “reveal passages of change as light and viewpoints shift over time and the everyday resides in a state of flux,” according to a press release. Thompson, an associate professor, “addresses her own concerns with beauty, desire, vulnerability and imperfection” in her work.

There will be a reception at 5 p.m. Jan. 30. Pierce will give a lecture at 5:30 p.m. in Room 213 of the Fine Arts Building that day. Thompson will give a post-show lecture at 5:30 p.m. Feb.  27, also in Room 213. The exhibition runs through Feb. 23. Read more about the show here.
