  • Katmandu Momo food truck is opening a sit-down version soon.
Katmandu Momo, the food truck created by Nepal native Saroja Shrestha, will open a sit-down eatery in April in the River Market’s Ottenheimer Hall.

Katmandu Momo serves steamed dumplings, Nepali fried rice, fried spring rolls and aloo dum (spicy potatoes) from the food truck, but Kyler Nordeck, who is Shrestha’s husband and partner, said the menu will grow in the market. The food truck will continue to serve lunch and do special events. “The River Market will be more like a home base for us,” Nordeck said.

Katmandu Momo will occupy the space on the northeast end of the food hall, where Boulevard Bread last operated, and will be open six days a week. Find food truck locations on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
